Note: this is not changing anything the City is currently doing, only the way permits are approved. Help Wanted

Full time utility worker - click title for full description and application

The City of Howard is seeking a full-time Utility worker to join our team. All City
employees must cross-train in all City departments. This is an hourly position and
requires the employee to work every 3 rd weekend and holiday on a set rotating
schedule. The starting wage is $18. Employees must live within 15 minutes of Howard.
Experience with machinery operation and maintenance is preferred. Full-time employee
benefits include KPERS, optional health insurance, 9 paid holidays, paid vacation and

ACH bill pay now available!

Your City bills can be paid from your bank account on the 10th of every month. There is no charge for this service. We must have a signed form on file.  You will still get a copy of your bill as usual. Call or come in the office for details!

Please remember that our city gas and water meters are read near the 15th of each month, so your bill due Sept 10 is paying for your utilities from about the 16th of July to the 15th of August.
